Bluffview
Bounded by Lover’s Lane on the south, Midway Road on the west, Northwest Highway (Loop 12) on the north, and Inwood Road and the Devonshire neighborhood on the east, some of most stunning contemporary architecture and real estate in Dallas reside in complete harmony with classic traditional estates. Originally a 215-acre dairy farm that along Bachman Creek, John P. Stevens, (who also developed topographically-rich Stevens Park in Oak Cliff), bought the land in 1924 and divided it into 1-acre plots. The neighborhood remained on the outskirts of Dallas until it was annexed in 1943. Today, lot sizes range from .25-acre parcels to multi-acre estates, and homes for sale in Bluffview are in high demand.
The area’s distinctive features and large lot sizes some of the city’s finest and oldest architectural works are in the neighborhoods of Bluffview. The area has attracted numerous prominent families who have hired world-renowned architects to design their homes. Many of the original estate homes have been restored and refurbished, but a number of contemporary homes are being built as well. Bluffview real estate continues to gain in popularity and prestige as its setting remains unchanged and the new construction enhances rather than distracts from the tone of the neighborhood.
